FREE Madeira x Monstera Books Shop
FREE Madeira, established in 2022, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education and Bitcoin adoption in the Madeira Archipelago, Portugal.
In March 2024, FREE Madeira held Bitcoin Atlantis Conference. At Bitcoin Atlantis we had a merchandising shop, Atlantic Bazaar and a book shop, Book Corner, that were a major success. After the event, it made sense to keep both shops. For now, only online, but we aim to open a physical shop in Funchal, where we are based.
Monstera Books is FREE Madeira’s partner, dedicated to publishing Bitcoin Books in Portuguese. It’s part of our mission to bring Bitcoin to all Portuguese speaking plebs. This shop reflects the mission of both institutions.
Monstera Books is a Portuguese publisher specialized in subjects related to economy, freedom, financial literacy, technology and Bitcoin.

Orders & Shipping
If your address appears unavailable for shipping at checkout, please email us at shop@freemadeira.org with your order details and shipping address. This can be related to the country you’re shipping to or the weight of your order. In both cases, we will do our best to help you out.
To place an order, you will need to provide a valid email address, name, delivery address, phone number, and fiscal number (if an invoice is required). This information is needed to guarantee we have all the necessary details for a sucessful delivery. No registration on our website is required.
Orders will be processed within 5 business days. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a notification and a tracking number to follow the progress of your package.
Shipping times may vary depending on your location. Estimated delivery is 5 business days for domestic orders (Portuguese territory) and 7 business days for international orders (Europe). Since we are based in Madeira Island, deliveries can take a bit longer than if they were shipped from Portuguese mainland.
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size/weight.
Once we ship your order, you will receive a tracking number via email to monitor the progress of your delivery.
Yes, we ship to European countries. Shipping fees and delivery times will vary depending on your location.
If you live outside Europe - or if your country is not listed at the checkout page - you can always send us an e-mail (shop@freemadeira.org) with your order request and your delivery address and we will evaluate if we can send the order to you.
Currently, and due to the economic embargo, we are not shipping to Russia.
We have a pickup point in Funchal, Madeira Island, where we are based. When you place your order, choose that option for more information.
Returns & Exchanges
We accept returns within 14 days after you receive your order.
Please ensure that the product(s) you return are in the same condition (Original packaging, all the product’s components and instructions) as when you received them.
Unless there is a factory defect, we do not make returns or exchanges of Hardware wallets or underwear.

To initiate a return or exchange, please contact our customer service at shop@freemadeira.org, with your order number.
Returns are processed within 10 business days after we receive the item. After we receive the item(s) you returned in their original condition, we will grant you the return and you will receive a refund to your original payment method.

If your item is damaged or defective, please contact us at shop@freemadeira.org within 7 days of receiving your order, for a replacement or refund. Please also send us a clear photograph of the damaged item and transportation box.
If you don’t claim your order, it will be returned to its origin (our headquarters in Madeira Island), and there will be return costs. You may contact us to schedule another delivery, in which case the returning costs and the new shipping costs will be charged to you.
If you opt for a refund of your order, keep in mind that the delivery fees won’t be reimbursed and we will charge you the returning shipping costs, refunding the remaining amount of your order.
If you paid for your order in bitcoin, the refund amount will be calculated based on the Euro value at the time of purchase.
Products & Stock
Yes, many of our products come in a variety of sizes and colors. Please check the product page for available options.
A lot of our products are special editions, but we may still restock them. Don’t be shy, send us an e-mail with your enquiry to shop@freemadeira.org.
Since we sell products from different brands, our products are made in different regions of the globe. If you have a specific question about a product’s origin, feel free to contact us at shop@freemadeira.org.
Yes, since we are based in Portugal, our product prices include Portuguese VAT.
Payments
We accept bitcoin, both Lightning and On-chain. We also accept Fiat payments, such as the main credit card companies (Visa, MasterCard, etc.), Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

Yes, your payment information is securely processed using encrypted technology to ensure your data is protected.
You will be charged when you place your order.
Currently, we only accept one payment method per order.
